Frequently asked questions
How do I add the audio?
Open the publisher's download page using the link in the app. Download the original ZIP and save it in Files without extracting it. Return to the app, choose Import downloaded ZIP, and select it. Import only audio you are entitled to use. The app does not modify your source ZIP.
Are recordings or the book included?
No. This is an independent player for user-imported audio, not a replacement for the book or its recordings. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the book's authors or publisher.
Why will my ZIP not import?
Use the original ZIP, not an extracted folder or an archive of combined recordings. The app expects individual MP3s with matching numeric track IDs and title metadata. Check that the download finished and that your device has free storage. Unsupported or damaged audio produces an error rather than replacing your existing library.
Why are some recordings missing?
Only successfully imported recordings are shown. A supported but partial ZIP can import successfully; use About & download โ Replace imported audio with a complete original ZIP. Some lesson and section assignments are provisional and are identified in the app.
Can I listen without internet?
Yes, after importing. Downloading the ZIP, accessing a cloud-based file in Files, and opening external support or publisher pages may need internet. Playback uses the recordings stored on your device.
How does listening progress work?
A recording is marked listened when it finishes successfully. A lesson or section is complete only when all of its mapped recordings are listened, not just the ones you imported. Use a lesson menu or swipe a row to change listened status manually. Playback does not automatically advance to the next recording.
How do I skip introductions or replay a phrase?
Enable Skip spoken introductions in About & download to start recordings after their introductions. You can always seek back, or use the five-second backward and forward controls. Pausing and resuming keeps your current playback position.
There is no sound. What should I check?
Select a recording, check your playback volume, and check whether audio is going to headphones or another output device. If an error appears, include its text when contacting support.
Can I replace audio without losing progress?
Yes. Choose About & download โ Replace imported audio. A successful replacement preserves listened status. If replacement fails or is cancelled, the previous library remains available.
How do I remove my data?
Use Reset all listening progress in About & download to clear listened status without removing audio. Deleting the app, rather than offloading it, removes its local library and preferences. Manage your original ZIP and device backups separately. There is no app-operated cloud sync.
Which devices does it support?
The app is designed for iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. It has no ads, purchases, or accounts. The repository's Mac intro editor is a separate developer tool and is not needed to use the iPhone or iPad app.
